Rare Doral Classic Cuddy
Here's a true 'Garage Find' that's in unbelievable condition for it's age! Bought new from a local Doral dealer in the late eighties, this 200 Grande Cuddy apparently went into a boat house on Lake Couch after delivery and has been stored indoors on a railway since new. Having only gone in the water a few times a season in the nineties, and handful of times in the 2000's, it's never been out of the boat house for more than a day until the fall of 2020.
Aside from the extensive list of mechanical and rigging upgrades below, the cosmetics are 100% original- canvas, carpet, upholstery, gel-coat, teak accents, etc are all 'original' and in excellent condition. The Camper canvas system was still in the original plastic storage bag.
Over $4,500 was invested over the winter of 2021 on the following mechanical upgrades:
-newer (1996-1997 vintage) Mercruiser engine package installed- Merc 4.3 V6, transom assembly and Alpha outdrive (original engine pkg was freeze damaged)
-engine was completely serviced prior to install including new: distributor cap & rotor, plug wires, spark plugs, ignition sensor, oil and filter change & compression test
-sterndrive service including: pressure & vacuum test, alignment, grease, water pump impellor kit, gaskets & anodes.
-new 24 series battery with securing tray
-new battery switch & proper gauge wires
-new bilge pump and discharge lines
-new bilge blower & lines
-new fuel fill and vent lines
-new Jensen bluetooth stereo w/ two speakers
-new USB / 12 accessory chargers in dash
